- Ex: Linked Lists, Queues, Trees
A block of code designed to automate some specific task. A behavior characteristic of an object. A way of accessing and/or modifying some property belonging to an object.
- def multXbyY(x,y):
return x * y
is a function called multXbyY with two parameters x and y, and consisting of one line of code in its body which is a return statement returning the product of x and y.
Similar to arrays in other programming languages. Consist of multiple values. Each value is stored at an index in a list.
food = ['ham','cheese']
is a list called food containing two items: ham (at index 0) and cheese (at index 1).
A chest containing a value. A box in which some value is stored. A name given in place of some value.
- Ex: x = 5 (x is the variable containing the value 5)
